Ctrl+select no longer works when I click out of the window

Recently I started having really annoying problem with multiple items selection on my virtual machine.

When I press ctrl and I select multiple items, and then I click out to any other window, when I come back and want to continue previous selection I am not able to.

Typical situation:

1.I select around 5 cells in excel with ctrl+left click

  1. I click out to check my browser
  2. I want to add few more cells to the selection - it doesn't work and unselects everything

It doesn't work in this device but it works perfectly fine on my other Windows device.

Could there be some setting that I am missing ?

My work would really improve if it is possible to fix this.

    Hi Tomasz,

    Hope you're doing well.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Make sure that your virtual machine settings are configured correctly, especially related to keyboard and mouse input. Ensure that the keyboard and mouse settings are not conflicting with the Ctrl key functionality.
    2. Ensure that your virtual machine software is up to date. Sometimes, updating the virtualization software can resolve compatibility issues with input devices.
    3. Verify that there are no conflicting keyboard or mouse settings on your host machine. Sometimes, conflicting settings on the host machine can affect the behavior of input devices within the virtual machine.
    4. Try to restart machine.
    5. If you have recently installed any new software on the virtual machine, it could be causing conflicts with keyboard and mouse input. Try uninstalling any recently installed applications and see if the issue persists.

    Best Regards
