Windows Server 2019 Standard can't be activated

Hello,

maybe someone can help me with this, since Microsoft activation hotline cannot.

We purchased a single (not Volume) original Windows Server 2019 Standard license for OEM.

Activation results in: Error: 0xC004C003 The activation server determined the specified product key is blocked.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble activating your Windows Server 2019 Standard license. Error code 0xC004C003 usually means that the MAK key you're trying to use has been blocked by Microsoft. That is, your MAK Key has reached the limit of the number of times. To resolve this issue, you will need to get a new MAK. You can reach Microsoft support by phone or chat through the Microsoft Support website. Or you should type the retail key correctly which you have purchased to activate.

Notice: OEM key refers to the Windows product key pre-installed on a new machine, it is tied to the hardware and cannot be transferred to another machine.

Hi Lei Tao,

how would i contact support to reset MAK, since the phone numbers via you link only let me type in the installation ID.
This always results in an error and i have to start from scratch.

yes, you need to provide the installation to Microsoft support team. Please open a Command Prompt as administrator, and then type the following command to get the installation ID:

I found a way to get an actual human on a call on the activation hotline.
We could solve why the key was blocked.
