Remote Desktop error code: 0x4 while accessing window container

I use Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect my Windows 10 container. However, I failed to connect to the remote container with this message: Your session ended because of an error. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0x4.

I click “Close” and try to reconnect to the Windows 10 computer but still cannot do that. This issue is very annoying. How can I fix the RDP error code 0x4? Any suggestion?

Have used below base image to create container.

    Hello,

As outlined in the passage "To connect to a remote PC, that computer must be turned on, it must have a network connection, Remote Desktop must be enabled, you must have network access to the remote computer (this could be through the Internet), and you must have permission to connect. For permission to connect, you must be on the list of users. Before you start a connection, it's a good idea to look up the name of the computer you're connecting to and to make sure Remote Desktop connections are allowed through its firewall." extracted from Enable Remote Desktop on your PC | Microsoft Learn

You may encounter connectivity issues due to:

    1. The remote computer isn't powered on.
    2. It lacks a stable network connection.
    3. Remote Desktop functionality hasn't been enabled on the target machine.
    4. Your network configuration doesn't allow access to the remote PC, which may require an internet connection if it's not on your local network.
    5. You don't have the necessary permissions to connect; ensure you're listed as an authorized user.
    6. The firewall on the remote computer might be blocking Remote Desktop connections; check if such connections are permitted.

For a successful connection, confirm that all prerequisites are met, including verifying the correct computer name and ensuring the firewall settings allow for Remote Desktop traffic.

    Regards,

    Karlie

Yes same issue i am also facing, when i tried connect window server using Remote Desktop Client.

This is happening after unexpectedly closes(force quit) server when it is active, since that time unable to connect that same server again.

But i do able to connect other servers but not the one which is force closed, may be it is an issue related to session copy, there might be some session cache issues in laptop end.

Note: I am able to connect to same server using other laptop but in my laptop it is not allowing me to connect and showing the attached error, Tried uninstall/install of Remote Desktop Client app multiple times nothing resolved issue yet.

Please if anyone have any suggestion post here

This error has been happening for about a year now on a server I manage with no resolution. The error seems random. When it is occuring it will do so for several hours or up to a couple of days. Then for no reason it begins working again. I fails more than it works now. There are 2 servers on this connection and the other one rarely has this issue.
