I've had this issue for a week now. It stopped working completely, then started to work again and now its on and off. I updated my drives and checked the filter keys, etc, and everything is off. I tried to clean my keys and I'm still having this issue. Its the a, z, q, 1, esc, tab and caps lock keys. I tried a keyboard detector and those keys are not detectable at all.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to keyboard keys.

    1. Open device manager/keyboard, choose update drivers / search automatically for updated driver software, then update keyboard drivers.
    2. Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.

Turn off Filter Keys and Sticky Keys if enabled, Filter Keys and Sticky Keys are accessibility features that can interfere with normal keyboard behavior.

    1. If specific keys remain unresponsive, use the On-Screen Keyboard temporarily:

Press Win + R, type osk, and hit Enter.

Use the virtual keyboard until you resolve the hardware issue.

    1. Connect an external USB keyboard to your computer and verify if the same keys exhibit the same behavior.

If the external keyboard works fine, it confirms that the issue is with your origin keyboard.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
