So hold, you saw nothing about my machine being put into automatic repair and prompting advanced troubleshooting, therefore I could not boot into windows, to do the advised fixes? That's like telling me to peel apples AFTER they've cooked. I was already upset with Microsoft over this, you just put me over the top. Thank you, soooooo much.
I found my recovery key, but now bit locker won't let me reset my pc
I have an ROG Ally, which crashed on me while I was downloading a simple game, and it took me to pc automatic repair saying it couldn't fix the issue. Then it asked for my bitlocker key, which I have NEVER heard of before this point. So in trying everything humanly possible, I turned off secure boot, went into command prompt, everything to find this stupid key I never even set up. Then this morning, I finally get into one drive and get my recovery key (no idea why you would put such essential information on such an obtuse, idiotic platform, but what do I know). Now, however, I type in my recovery key, and it tells me to restart. I say skip this drive, and it errors out because I already skipped putting in my recovery key. I've now since turned back on secure boot, but it's still doing the SAME THING. This device has no USB ports, so I have no way of booting windows on a flash drive. How can I get my machine back in working order, without having to Crack her shell open?

2024-03-07T02:30:16+00:00 Hi Zero Greg,
it sounds like you're experiencing issues with BitLocker, which is a security feature in Windows that encrypts your hard drive to protect your data. When BitLocker is enabled, you need a recovery key to access your data if your device encounters issues.
Since you have already obtained your recovery key, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Restart your device and enter the recovery key when prompted.
- If the recovery key doesn't work, try disabling BitLocker by following these steps: a. Go to Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption. b. Click on "Turn off BitLocker" for the drive that's encrypted. c. Follow the prompts to turn off BitLocker.
- Once BitLocker is disabled, restart your device and see if it boots up normally.
If these steps don't work, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your device for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or repair options.
Hope it helps.
Kind regards,
Lei

2024-03-13T09:17:38+00:00 If Safe Mode doesn't fix the problem, you can try using Windows installation media to fix your system. You can download Windows 10 installation media from the Microsoft website and write it to a USB drive or DVD. Then, plug the installation media into your computer and launch it. After the installer starts, select "Repair Your Computer> "Troubleshooting", "Advanced Options>> "Automatic Repair", or "Command Prompt".
If the above steps don't work, you will need to contact Microsoft Support (Contact Us - Microsoft Support) for further assistant.
Apologize for the inconvenience.
