Windows Server Essentials 2016 Client Restore Service

I am reinstalling Windows Server Essentials 2016. In order to install Client Restore Service I need a version of Windows PE. All of our client computers are Win 11. When I installed the latest version of PE, there was no 32 bit version so the installation of Client Restore Service failed because it could not find a subdirectory for the x86 version. The last 32 bit version was for Windows 10. I assume that will make the Client Restore Service install properly but I am wondering if it will function properly if a Win 11 client fails. Thank you for your help.

    Hello!

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft customer support.

Regarding your concern, the Windows Server Essentials 2016 Client Restore Service is designed to work with Windows 10 clients. Although there is no 32-bit version of Windows PE available for Windows 11, you can still use the Windows 10 version of Windows PE to install the Client Restore Service.

However, please note that if a Windows 11 client fails, the Client Restore Service may not function properly as it is not specifically designed for Windows 11. It is recommended to have a backup plan in place for such scenarios.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
