Every time I have a Microsoft Update, I can't see the other Windows 10 computers on my network.

Everytime, after a Microsoft update I cannot see my other Windows 10 computers on the network.

I have 10 computers networked together.. I have my network all set correctly. I have the SMB check marked and SMB Direct checked on each computer. I have a DHCP router that I turned on and off. I have 3 port switches set around that the computers are connected into. I have been networking these things for 15 years now and it just recently in the lastest series of updates within the past 6 months that I always seem to have this problem after an update.

All of the computers are hard wired with port switches.

None of the network settings have changed for private, guest and all networks.

Sometimes I spend hours or days trying to figure out what is wrong. And then suddenly I can see everyone and there is no reason to it. The computers on the network always disappear after an update.

I have gone through all of the trouble shoorting on the internet from experts.

I can't see my WD Mycloud either but I was told that is because the WD MyCloud is an older system.

you can contact me at at my email address.

Thank you for any light you can shed on this issue and help me.

Thanks again.

Sincerely

Bill O

    Hello,

Based on the information you provided, I suggest that you first set the startup type of the following specified services to "Automatic" on the inaccessible cpmputer to see if the computer can be seen on the network.

    DNS Client

    Function Discovery Provider Host

    Function Discovery Resource Publication

    SSDP Discovery

    UPnP Device Host

    Best Regards

    Zunhui
