windows 11 remote desktop scroll wheel not working

Using Windows 11 remote desktop the scroll wheel does not work. On all three of my remote systems with the latest Windows 11 Pro update the scroll wheel does not function. The windowed area will not move up and down using the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel functions normally on my local machine.

The remote desktop is in a window not full screen. I have to left click and hold on the vertical slider to move the displayed area up and down.

Is there a fix?

Thank you.

    Hello,

    May I ask this issue exists in all applications on the remote desktop session? You can check if the mouse wheel works in other applications on RD.

    If this is a temporary issues, you can disconnect and reconnect. Then, close all third-party apps for testing.

    Please make sure your local and remote systems are fully updated with the latest Windows updates. And the Remote Desktop Client is up-to-date. Also, check the update of the mouse driver on your local computer. If possible, try using another mouse device for testing.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

    Greetings;

    If I open a browser such as edge, chrome, etc. the scroll wheel operates correctly within that browser. Within the browser the content will scroll up and down when I use the scroll wheel like normal.

    The issue remains that the remote connection window itself will not scroll up and down with the scroll wheel so I can scroll down to the taskbar then up to the top of the screen like to use the "X" to close the browser window. I must left click and hold then use the mouse on the right hand side scroll bar of the remote session window to move the contents of the remote session desktop up and down when the remote session is in a windowed form. Of course when the session is full screen, the scroll wheel is unnecessary.

    This happens every time I open a remote session window on all three of my remote Windows 11 computers. These computers are within my local network. I just do not have a monitor, keyboard, or a mouse connected to them as they are just used for data storage and in different rooms. No third party software is running on the remote computers.

    All computers are updated to the latest version of Windows 11. If the standard update procedure does not update the remote desktop client software then where would I find that update?

    My local mouse driver is also updated to it's most current driver software. I have used a notebook computer with a generic mouse and the issue persists.

    Thank you for your reply.
