    Hello SrinivasanAG,

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

To resolve this issue, firstly, double-check that the product key is correct and that your server is connected to the internet. If these have no problem, Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help resolve activation issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation and run the troubleshooter.

Additionally, you can try a phone activation:

    1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator.
    2. Type "slui 4" (without quotes) and press Enter.
    3. Select your country or region from the list and click Next.
    4. Call the telephone number provided and follow the instructions.

    Best regards,

    Lei

    Hello,

That error is usually seen when the product key does not match the Windows installation.

You may try downloading the VAMT tool ( part of the ADK) and enter the key in that tool.

It may be able to tell what edition and release of Windows that key applies to.

Otherwise you will have to call support to get the information on the key.

    Darrell
