In my company , public folders are widely used , and there are a significant number of project that require storing information. Some time ago, we started facing an issue where public folders would frequently disappear. While searching for solutions, we found that Microsoft recommended create a new profile, which indeed temporarily resolves the issue. However after a while the problem reappears, so this is not a valid solution for us.

Has Microsoft found a definitive solution to this problem?

    Hello,

Based on the information you provided, I suggest you try to restore the hidden folder display to see if it can solve the problem. Please follow the steps below to restore hidden files.

    1. Open the Control Panel and select Appearance and Personalization.
    2. Then find the "File Explorer" option under this tab and click "Show hidden files and folders".
    3. In the "Advanced Settings" box, click "Files and Folders" > "Hidden Files and Folders" > Check the "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" option. Please uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and click "Apply".

    Best Regards

    Zunhui
