BitLocker Key Access Issue

Hello,

My HP laptop broke down, and during the repair process, the BitLocker Key is required. This key is linked to my Microsoft account associated with an old email of mine. However, I no longer have access to this email, as it belongs to a company I previously worked for.

Although I am able to sign in to my Microsoft account, I cannot access the BitLocker management options due to two-step verification. It states that I need to wait for 30 days to resolve this issue, but I urgently need access to my computer and data. I kindly request a faster solution to recover my data.

I look forward to your support.

Best regards

    Hello AyazB,

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

If you have previously saved your BitLocker recovery key elsewhere (e.g., printed it out, saved it on a USB drive, or stored it in another location), try to locate it. For the details, you can see Find your BitLocker recovery key - Microsoft Support.

**mportant:**Microsoft Support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

    Kind regards,

    Lei
