Thank you for the information regarding how to disable BitLocker protection and the repercussions of doing so. But I'm still wondering why my laptop keeps prompting me for my code every time I boot up, and if there is anything can do to remedy that.
BitLocker recovery problem
I recently replaced the battery on my Dell/Win11 laptop. Ever since, most of the time (not always) when I either reboot the computer or awaken it from sleep mode, I get prompted to enter my BitLocker recovery code. Entering my code is more of an annoyance than a problem - I'm used to just opening the laptop and instantly logging in. What causes this? Is there anything I can do to remedy the situation? Can the BitLocker feature be turned off? Would that be advisable from a security standpoint?

If you want to turn off BitLocker, please refer to this link:

Disabling BitLocker will make your data more vulnerable to unauthorized access. If you decide to turn it off, consider other security measures such as strong passwords and regular backups to protect your data.
Have a nice day.
