    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

It sounds like you're encountering a few different issues with user permissions and account switching on your Windows 10 device. Here are some steps you can try to resolve these problems:

    1. User Account Control (UAC) Settings

Sometimes, UAC settings can prevent certain actions even if you have admin privileges. You can try adjusting these settings:

Press Windows + X and select Control Panel.

Go to User Accounts > User Accounts.

Click on Change User Account Control settings.

Move the slider to the lowest setting (Never notify) and click OK.

    Try uninstalling the software again.

    1. Run as Administrator

Ensure that you are running the uninstallation process with administrative privileges:

Right-click on the uninstaller or the program you want to uninstall.

    Select Run as administrator.

    1. Safe Mode

Booting into Safe Mode can sometimes bypass certain restrictions:

Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.

Go to the Boot tab and check Safe boot.

Restart your computer and try uninstalling the software in Safe Mode.

    1. Switch User Issue

If you are unable to switch users:

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select Switch user.

If this doesn't work, try restarting your computer and selecting the correct user account at the login screen.

    1. Check for Malware

Sometimes, malware can cause issues with user accounts and permissions:

Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or another trusted antivirus program.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Yanhong Liu

    Thanks for your reply.

Option 1 -> While navigating, it is denied ( showing only NO button and o YES button completely GREY)

Option 2 -> Trying to command prompt as an admin but the result is same above

    Option 3 -> same result

Option 4 -> scan is done but no affected files

Not showing logon user name and password prompt/screen

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

If your local admin account is still unable to perform actions, you can enable the built-in Administrator account:

Open Command Prompt as an administrator.

Type the following command and press Enter: net user administrator /active:yes

Log out and log in using the Administrator account.

    Try uninstalling the software.
