    Hello  Harikiran Moka,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

The STOP code "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" typically indicates that the DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) Watchdog detects that a system bug checked, possibly due to software or hardware issues. Here are some steps you might consider to address these problems:

    1. Verify Bitlocker Recovery Key
    • Double-check the Bitlocker recovery key you have. Ensure you are entering the correct key. Sometimes it might be a typo, or you could be using a different key if you have multiple devices.
    1. Boot into Safe Mode
    • Try to boot into Safe Mode. This might help to bypass the crash you are experiencing.
      1. Restart your computer.
      2. As it restarts, press and hold the Shift key and select the Restart option.
      3. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
      4. When your computer restarts, select option 4 or press F4 to start in Safe Mode.
    1. Use a Different USB Port or Recovery Environment
    • If you are using a USB recovery drive, ensure it is correctly connected. Try different USB ports.
    • If available, use another computer to create a Windows 10 installation media on a USB flash drive. Boot from this USB to access the recovery environment.
    1. Update BIOS and Drivers
    • Sometimes, updating your BIOS and system drivers can resolve the DPC watchdog violation.
      1. Visit the Dell support website.
      2. Enter your Dell laptop model or Service Tag.
      3. Download and install the latest BIOS and driver updates.
      4. Note: Be cautious while updating BIOS, and follow instructions on the Dell website.
    1. Disable Secure Boot Temporarily
    • Access your BIOS settings, and temporarily disable Secure Boot. After fixing your issue, you might re-enable it.
      1. Restart your computer and press F2 or Del to enter BIOS (this key may vary).
      2. Locate the Secure Boot option and disable it.
    1. Run CHKDSK and SFC
    • Sometimes, file system errors cause these problems. Running CHKDSK and System File Checker might help.
      1. Access Command Prompt from the Advanced Boot Options (you might have to use Windows installation media to access this option).
      2. Run the following commands:

             chkdsk C: /f /r /x

             sfc /scannow

    1. Connect with Dell Support
    • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider contacting Dell support for further assistance.
      1. Visit the Dell Support website.
      2. Provide your Service Tag or Express Service Code.
      3. Contact support via chat or call to explain your issue.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan
