- Press the Win + R keys to open the run dialog box, enter sysdm.cpl and press Enter. Switch to the Remote tab in the system properties window and check Allow remote connections to this computer. Make sure that Only allow computer connections running remote desktops that use network-level authentication is checked.
- Open the Control Panel and select Windows Defender Firewall. Click on "Allow apps or features to pass through Windows Defender Firewall" and select "Change settings". Find "Remote Desktop", tick "Private" or "Private", and then click "OK".
- Enter "Local Security Policy" in the search box and open it. Select IP Security Policy on Local Computer, right-click Port 3389 Restriction or Port 3389 Filter, and select Unassigned. In the pop-up window, uncheck Port 3389 Filter and click OK.
- Open the Services management tool . Look for the Remote Desktop Services or Remote Desktop Configuration service and make sure its status is Running.
