CPU utilization goes to 100%

Hello,

Greetings of the Day!!

System Hardware Info:

Processor - Intel Xeon Silver 4216 CPU @2.10 GHZ. (16-core) - Single processor

RAM - 64 GB

Make - Dell EMC PowerEdge T440


We tried the followings:

  1. re-installed the Windows server 2019 STD
  2. updated antivirus and other security software's.

The list of main software or services running.

  1. RDP - Max connection between 35 to 45.
  2. SQL server free edition
  3. Software based on SQL for entries and scanning etc...

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

    First open Task Manager > Process > Sort CPU utilization from high to low to view the process or service with the highest CPU usage.

    Secondly, use the "Windows Performance Recorder" tool to analyze which Thread contained in the process or service causes high CPU usage:

    Hello,

    This we have done already. The below are main points.

    1. SQL server eats up upto 40%.
    2. RDP user (One particular user) eats up 25%.
    3. SQL application based software eats up to 30%.

    So we need help, if this hardware will work or we have to change the hardware.
