We would like to confirm the dependency on Microsoft Silverlight in domain controllers.

We are planning to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight from domain controllers as this software and its patches will make our DC vulnerable.

    Hello Safvan Mohamed,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

What OS version of Domain Controllers are you using?

What browser are you using on Domain Controllers?

Here Silverlight End of Support - Microsoft Support we can see:

The microsoft.com/silverlight website will still be available. However, the Silverlight installer will no longer be available after the end of support date of October 12, 2021.

Did you have any application that depending on Silverlight? If so, you can see the recommendations below:

Here you can see Silverlight 5 System Requirements:

    microsoft.com/getsilverlight/locale/en-us/html/installation-win-SL5.html

If you do not use the OS version or browser or application that depending on Silverlight 5, I think you can uninstall it.

    Other reference:
    Microsoft Silverlight

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou
