At our end customer ESG, we have installed a server running a Windows Server 2022 OS. Unfortunately, we encounter the update error with the machine. This is the update for MS Server OS version 21H2 (KB5032198). Error code 0x80072f8f73701. They have already tried to patch the server manually, via DISM, some other things. The problem has been going on since October and we have tried again and again to run the update without success.

Network is fine, the Server who is affected is a Hypervisor. We have 4 virtual machines on it. All of them installed with the same Windows build, no issues with Updates. I saw a possible workaround with an Windows Inplace Ubgrade, is it safe? It is important to keep all the settings like virtual switches and so on. We tried all of possible workarounds, dism repair, stopping the services an remove software distribution folders, bits service repair and others, it didnt work.
