Hi

Our SFTP Virtual host server (VHost) it got stuck when tried to do a Windows update and created a bottleneck from some reports that ended up not being created.

we have realized that the Windows update was the culprit in this issue.

Now how can we stop the Windows update permanently?

Thank you

    Hi Yusuf Abaguben,

you can permanently stop Windows Update by following these steps:

    1. Open the Control Panel and select Administrative Tools.
    2. Select "Services" and find the "Windows Update" service.
    3. Right-click on the service and select Properties.
    4. In the General tab, change the Startup Type to Disable.
    5. Click "Apply" and close the window.

Please note that disabling Windows Update may cause security vulnerabilities and other issues in your system. Therefore, we recommend that you check regularly for updates and ensure that your system is kept up to date.

If the above method does not work, I recommend you contact Vhost Support team for help because it is not a Microsoft product.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Lei
