Dear community, (L.s.)

goodmorning. My name is Bjarne Petersen. I came to a point where my "find answers to questions"-skills seem to have been saturated. I've too many question and can't get them to be answered using conventional ways on the internet.
Therefore I am looking for a Guru who is willing to transfer his or her server- and networking knowledge to me.

My lab is ready, my knowledge that much fragmented that I just do not know where to start. I've Windows 11 Professional to work with and willing to start on a daily basis every day at 04:00 hour Western European Time.

I hope this request find you in good spirit and that our cooperation will be fruitful and enjoyable.

Yours sincerely,

Bjarne Petersen

    Dear Bjarne Petersen,

Thank you for your request on the forum. You are looking for a mentor in the field of networking and servers, who can help you improve your knowledge on a daily basis at 04:00 Western European Time. Your lab is ready, but due to fragmented knowledge, you are unsure where to start.

Here are some suggestions that might help you find a mentor and enhance your learning:

    1. Post on Professional Forums or Communities:

    • For example, Reddit (such as r/sysadmin, r/networking), Stack Overflow, ServerFault, Spiceworks, etc.
    • Clearly state your needs and existing knowledge base; experts may be willing to help.

    2. Contact Instructors on Online Training Platforms:

    • Platforms like Udemy, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, etc. Many course instructors offer one-on-one guidance.

    3. Join Local or Online IT Communities and User Groups:

    • Meetup.com has many IT-related user groups and events where you can meet industry experts.

    4. Join Professional Associations:

    • Organizations like ISACA, CompTIA, etc., offer certifications and training opportunities in networking and servers, along with community resources.

    5. Use Social Media and Professional Networking Platforms:

    • You can directly contact industry experts on LinkedIn and join relevant professional groups.

I hope these suggestions help you find a suitable mentor and enhance your learning journey.

    Best regards,

    Rosy

Well, no actually. Not yet. Going to but I wanted to leave it yet another week or so giving it a chance to get real Microsoft people to offer me one on one.

Or pensioned people maybe who like to dive in the newest Server.

But as I said, I, a little reluctantly, am going tomorrow morning dive into it. I just do not like to leave the Microsoft site, but it pains me to say that as I stated in my request, I find it very difficult nowadays to find the correct answer for any question.

There was a time where I asked technet and technet brought its solution on one. Sometimes on the first page. But never on second or God forbid even further pages.

Until I got fired and it felt like I was proxied on a technet mirror that just was not going to give me the answers I sought.

I try and keep this post alive twice a day for said week.
