Hi

We have a server 2022 R2 running on a VM with IIS installed.

We need to login locally to the server using username and password. However, when attempting to access the server through its IP, we get the default IIS Microsoft page.

Appreciate for any assistance.

Thank you.

    Hello Mohssen ghaderi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

If this server 2022 R2 running on a VM with IIS installed is in one domain or in one workgroup.

If it is in one domain, you can try to sign in the machine using one domain account (open domain controller to find one domain account) or one local account in this server (open local users and groups to find one local account).

If it is in one workgroup, you can try to sign in the machine only using one local account in this server (open local users and groups to find one local account).

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou

    Hi Daisy

    Thank you for your response.

    I have one domain.

I can log on locally (using either local or domain credentials) to any of my servers via "web console" within Vsphere/Vcentre without any difficulty.

    The issue is;

I am unable to directly logon locally to any of my servers running IIS using server IP address. Instead of being presented with the logon screes, I only have a default Microsoft HTML page.

How do I bypass the page and get to the logon screen please?

    Many thanks.

    Good morning Bjarne

    Thank you for your response.

I do not believe it is an issue with IIS or AD. There must be a way for me to be able to login to my server directly.

    Thank you anyway
