Hello,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Support.
If you have installed the DHCP role on Windows Server 2022 and created an IP address range that fits your network, but your TP-LINK router can't assign addresses over Wi-Fi, you can try the following steps:
1.To ensure that DHCP is enabled on your TP-LINK router, make sure that it is properly configured to use Windows Server 2022 as the DHCP server. If DHCP is disabled, the router will not be able to assign IP addresses to devices on the network. You can check this by logging into your router’s web interface and navigating to the DHCP settings page. If you are not sure how to do this, you can refer to the router’s user manual or contact TP-LINK support for assistance.
2.To avoid issues with DHCP allocation, check if there is a firmware update available for your router, and if so, install it. Outdated firmware can cause problems with DHCP allocation. You can download the latest firmware from TP-LINK’s website.
- Check if your router's Wi-Fi settings are configured correctly: Make sure your router's Wi-Fi settings are configured correctly. Make sure that the Wi-Fi network is enabled and that the SSID and password are correct.
- To ensure that your device is configured to automatically acquire an IP address, navigate to your device’s network settings and make sure to select the “Get IP address automatically” option. Otherwise, they won’t be able to get an IP address from the router’s DHCP server.
- Check and make sure your TP-LINK router is properly configured to use the correct gateway address, as well as properly configured to use the correct DNS server address. You can find these settings in the router's admin interface or in the DHCP Manager.
