Hi,
I am new on this forum. I am rather poor win user.
My problem is like that:

  • I have S20 and S23 phone (tested on both), unfortunately I had to plug it win10, always phone ask for permission to access internal data, once I allow it to copy some data. Then phone was unplugged.
  • now always when I plug my phone to this win10 PC, system have full access to my phone and on the phone there in no any more asking for permission.
  • How to remove it forever, I do not want that win10 have full access to my device without my permission, this is not safe at all.
  • on partial solution what I found was full driver removing, then when I plug my mobile back to this PC with win10 it ask for permission but importunately only once, today I plug it back for charging purposes and win10 have full access without asking.
  • it never happens under Linux, on other win PC it ask for permission.
Please let me know any solution.
    Regards

    Hello, Piotr Prus

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I understand that you need to change the permission settings for your computer access, here are some ways to do it:

    1. You can use Phone link software, this software allows you to scan the code to link your computer, you also to set the access rights.

Phone Link help & learning (microsoft.com)

Phone Link requirements and setup - Microsoft Support

    1. Navigate to your phone's settings menu, look for settings related to USB preferences or connected devices, and check if there is an option to revoke USB debugging authorization or change the default USB configuration.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I haven't explained something clearly.

    Hi,

    thank you for the reply,

I do not want to use any software on windows10, also I do not think this is a problem with mobile phone settings:

    • this mobile behave normally on any other PC with win10 where I never allow access.
    • behave perfectly under linux
    • only on this particular PC after is plugged win10 have full access, without asking for permision
    • plugging phone on the screen of mobile device must appear question to allow access to the PC or not, but it not appear for strange reason this PC have full access.
    • I allow access and copy one file by file explorer, then disconnect phone.

My question is how to remove permanently the window10 access to my phone? win10 must always ask for permission not access without it.

    Regards

Thank you for your feedback, please try the following:

Open Settings, click on Bluetooth and Devices, find AutoPlay, and on the AutoPlay page, you will see a switch to control whether or not AutoPlay is used. Then you can see the autoplay settings for different types of media and devices (e.g. Memory Stick, DVD, etc.).

For each type of media and device, you can choose a default action. To have the system ask you every time, you should select the "Ask me every time" option for each device.

If the above does not solve your problem, please upload a picture of what you need, such as a picture of your cell phone asking you when you are on another computer.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I haven't explained something clearly.

    Best Regards,

    Aaron

    Hi,

    this is not solution,

    My autoplay is always off.

When I plug mobile to win10 I should see that:

and I saw it until I select "Allow", since that always when I plug the phone it automatically allow win10 for full access without asking for the rights.

This message on mobile appear only if I do not select Allow, it appear on every PC wit windows where I do not Allow, if I allow once, nothing appear and windows have full access without asking!

In filexplorer until I select Allow, can not browse phone content = no access, but if I Allow once, windows can browse without asking.

I do not accept that windows have full access without my permission!

Partial solution is to permanently delete drivers, then this question about access appear again but when windows install drivers do not appear again any more.

    Regards

Thank you for your feedback, I have discussed the issue with the relevant technician and recommend that you create a new local account to try.

Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then Family and Other Users. Next to "Add another user", select "Add account". Select "I don't have this person's login information" and then on the next page select "Add a user without a Microsoft account".

Enter a username, password, and password prompt, or select a security question, and then select Next.

Open Settings and create another account

Also change the local user account to an administrator account

Choose Start > Settings > Accounts.

Under Family and Other Users, select the name of the account owner (you should see "Local Account" below the name) and then select Change Account Type. Under Account Type, select Administrator and then select OK.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I haven't explained something clearly.

    Best Regards,

    Aaron
