Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac appears in a small window.

After the last update, Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac stopped opening full screen. Even though I change the resolution from the Settings > Resolution menu, it doesn't work. When I enter the Resolution menu again, the lowest resolution is selected.

    Hello,

If you encounter issues specifically after updating the Remote Desktop client, it might indicate a software bug. In such a case, the most effective route to reach out to the product development teams would be through submitting feedback directly from the software's settings menu.

Alternatively, you might want to test the latest beta version to see if your issue has already been addressed in more recent builds. The current beta available is version 10.9.9 (build 2253), which you can download from the App Center.

    Kind regards,

    Karlie

    Hi Karlie,

The same problem persists in the beta version. I followed the Help > Submit Feedback step. A website popped up and said I needed to provide a reason to get approved. I got the approval but it keeps going to the approval step. I cannot send feedback.

    Thanks,

    Umut

    Hello,

"When I enter the Resolution menu again, the lowest resolution is selected."

Is your computer managed by your organization (for example, you logged in with a company account)? Have any Group Policies or Intune policies been applied?

Also please check the relevant local group policy setting on both device: Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ remote desktop Services\ remote desktop Session Host\ remote Session Environment\

If the issue persists, try modifying the RDP file to specify the desktop height and width: Supported RDP properties with Remote Desktop Services | Microsoft Learn

    Best Regards,

    Karlie
