Hello. I need to enable the Smbus Controller in order to use Vmware. Everywhere I searched recommended doing so through the Device Manager. However, I cannot find the Controller Driver in the Manager. Please help.

    Hello,

Based on my understanding of your issue, I suggest you try opening the Device Manager. Then click Scan for hardware changes in the upper right corner. Windows will search for the appropriate driver to install while connected to the Internet to see if the SM Bus Controller can be successfully installed. Alternatively, you can visit the chip manufacturer's website on your computer to manually download and install the motherboard chipset driver for your computer version to solve the controller and driver issues.
