2025-02-12T12:45:37+00:00 Hello Puskas György,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
This situation sounds very suspicious. Microsoft generally does not make unsolicited phone calls to users about account issues, and they usually communicate through secure channels within your account or via official email notifications.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
• Scammers often impersonate large companies like Microsoft to scare or trick you into giving up personal or financial information.
• If the caller contacted you out of the blue and claims that other users are using your account without any specific information or supporting evidence, it's a red flag.
• Microsoft typically directs users to their official support website or app for any account problems, and they would not ask for sensitive details over the phone.
What you should do:
- Do not share any personal, financial, or account information over the phone.
- Hang up and do not call back any provided numbers.
- Verify your account security by logging in directly to your Microsoft account through the official website. Check for any unusual activity and update your password if necessary.
- If you’re concerned, contact Microsoft Support directly using the contact information listed on their official website to confirm if there is any issue with your account.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Daisy Zhou
