Hello
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
This issue can occur when the driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter.
Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Update the Driver: Ensure you have the latest driver for your NVIDIA RTX 2050. You can download the latest driver from the NVIDIA website. Once downloaded, install the driver and restart your computer.
Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager by pressing Windows + X and selecting Device Manager. Expand the "Display adapters" section, right-click on the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter," and select "Properties." Go to the "Details" tab, and under "Property," select "Hardware IDs." Copy the hardware IDs and use them to search for the correct driver.
Set Primary Display: Make sure your primary display is set to the PCIe or NVIDIA RTX 2050. You can do this in the BIOS settings of your computer. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F2, F10, Delete, or Esc during startup). Look for the display settings and set the primary display to PCIe or NVIDIA RTX 2050.
Reinstall the Driver: If updating the driver doesn't work, try uninstalling the current driver and then reinstalling it. In Device Manager, right-click on the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" and select "Uninstall device." After uninstalling, restart your computer and install the latest driver from the NVIDIA website.
Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates can resolve compatibility issues with hardware drivers.
