Keyboard Input issue with RD Client on iOS

Hello everyone, I was considering getting a new iPad to edit videos with RD Client on Vegas Pro 21 when I'm not home, the problem is that I tried to connect with my old iPad by RD Client, and (using the touch screen keyboard) it wouldn't give me keyboard shortcuts input (as an exaple for going forward frame by frame), and when I tried to change the buttons in the preferences it gave me as input button instead of the key in question (eg "P") it gave me as input VK_ and a code that I don't remember at the moment, but it was the same for every single key pressed. The fact is that keyboard shortcuts don't work and working remotely without keyboard shortcuts would be a bit of a waste of time. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

    Hello,

Could you please tell me the operating system version of your iPad?

Although some key combinations may not function as anticipated during a remote session, many standard Windows shortcuts like CTRL+C, CTRL+V, and ALT+TAB should still be effective.

I recommend trying a physical Bluetooth keyboard to see if it improves the functionality.

Regarding registry settings, if you're familiar with making such changes, adjusting the registry on your remote PC might help. You can set the IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout registry value to 1, which instructs the system to disregard the remote keyboard layout. This can sometimes resolve issues with key mappings. For detailed instructions on how to do this, you can refer to Microsoft's official guide Force a keyboard layout via policy | Microsoft Learn

Please ensure you have a backup before making any changes to the registry, as incorrect modifications can affect system stability.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng
