Server 22 HyperV Failover- Disk Validation error (Full)

Hello,

I have built a 2 node cluster and configured a quorum disk and a storage disk. I can see in disk management the two empty volumes, when I offline them and run a validation check they throw an error that says that the volumes are full. I have destroyed and recreated the cluster too many times to count, but that consistently stays the issue. All other checks are fine. Hoping I missed something but here are the steps I took.

Created both volumes on PowerVault and connected to the host group of both servers

From one host I online the two disks and format them ( do not assign a mapping )

Add disks to cluster

Quorum Manager and assign the witness disk

Add the storage disk to CSV

Offline disks and run validation.

For the storage part of validation it requires you to offline disks in the cluster, It works fine if I do not run that section of validation.

    Hi Tommyy,

    Thanks for the update.

Please first check the connection between the disks and the cluster nodes, and then verify that the disks are connected to all cluster nodes and are online.

    Best Regards

SAN connection. It has been suggested to me, but my storage disk throws the same error and I cannot move that.

    Hi Tommyy,

    Hope you're doing well.

Based on the information provided, it appears that the size of the quorum disk does not meet the requirements of the cluster arbitration.

    1. How did you connect the disk to the two nodes of the cluster? (iSCSI or SAN)
    2. Have you considered using a File Share Witness instead of a Disk Witness?

    Best Regards
