    Hello Sanaa Al-Tamimi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

To hide the disk capacity information for a shared folder, you can try the steps below.

    1.Using NTFS Permissions:

You can set NTFS permissions to deny "Read Attributes" and "Read Extended Attributes" to the users on the shared folder, which may help in hiding the disk capacity information.

Right-click the shared folder, go to "Properties," then to the "Security" tab.

    Click "Advanced," then "Change Permissions."

Add or modify the user group permissions by denying "Read Attributes" and "Read Extended Attributes."

    2.Using Group Policy:

Open the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).

Navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer. - Find the policy "Hide these specified drives in My Computer," enable it, and select the appropriate drive.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou

    Dear Microsoft Support,

    Thank you for your support.

Note that the file share is on a separate server, not on the Domain Controller.

I would like to inform you that when I apply the group policy, I did not fine the drive I have made on the file share server which is below DAN-Share(S):
