I'm trying to obtain microsoft sql enterprise. it says 2022 version. but as far as I remember when downloading it will give you the option to choose the release version like 2019 or 2017 as you wish. is that still available? or if it says 2022 it is only 2022?

Unfortunately, I do not have an Enterprise license to check.. I suggest you ask the chat support located on the Server 2022 pricing page.

You can also check with a Microsoft Solution Provider. Search solution providers

My apologies but didn’t get ur answers clear. In purchase options list it says “ sql server 2022 “ but i remember that if you need 2019 you purchase this 2022 and then when downloading it from the portal it will give you the option to choose the year. Is that still going ?

Those older versions are not past their extended date. You can still download evaluations, if needed, and use the appropriate editions keys.
