Does not support 4 KiB + 64 B LBAF when installing Windows 2019 on NVMe Drive?

I tried to install Windows 2019 in LBA format 4KiB+64B using nvme as the boot drive, but I encountered several errors.

It worked fine when installing with 4KiB, but It seems to be not work with 4KiB + 64 B.

Is Windows 2019 originally set to not allow installation with 4KiB + 64B LBAF like Windows 2022?

I tried it with 1 TB nvme drives that support 4KiB+64B LBAF, but I can see unallocated several 0.0 MB space and abnormal capacity indication.

  • unallocated several 0.0 MB space

  • abnormal capacity indication

And I found related answer in this community. Please confirm in Windows 2019 case, too.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, we have no official information from Microsoft clarifying whether 4KiB+64B LBAF on NVMe drives is supported on Windows Server or not. Since 4KiB+64B LBAF is not supported until Windows Server 2022, I believe this is neither supported on Windows Server 2019.
