Issue with Windows 11 Enterprise Activation on New Laptop

Hello,

I am currently using a Microsoft E3 Enterprise subscription. Recently, I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 laptop. While my Windows 11 Enterprise subscription worked perfectly on my old laptop, I am encountering an issue with my new device.

In the Activation state tab, it shows that Windows is not activated. However, the Subscription tab indicates that my Windows 11 Enterprise subscription is active. Due to this activation issue, I am unable to use certain services on my new laptop.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this activation problem?

Thank you

    Hello weereXT,

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure your laptop is connected to the internet as activation requires an active internet connection.
    2. Run the Windows Activation Troubleshooter: Go to "Settings > Update & Security > Activation", then click on"Troubleshoot" to run the Activation Troubleshooter.
    3. Sign in with the Correct Account: Make sure you're signed in to Windows with the Microsoft account associated with your E3 subscription. You can go to "Settings > Accounts > Your info" to confirm it.

    Kind regards,

    Lei

    Hello Lei,

Thank you for your prompt response and the suggestions provided.

I have followed all the steps you mentioned:

    1. Checked Internet Connection: My laptop is connected to a stable internet connection.
    2. Ran the Windows Activation Troubleshooter: I ran the troubleshooter, but it indicated that my device is not connected to the internet, despite having a stable connection.
    3. Signed in with the Correct Account: I confirmed that I am signed in with the Microsoft account associated with my E3 subscription.

Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved. The Activation state still shows that Windows is not activated, and I am unable to use certain services on my new laptop.

Could you please provide further assistance or suggest any additional steps I can take to resolve this activation problem?

    Thank you for your help.

    Kind regards,
    weereXT

    Hello weereXT,

It looks like an Internet issue. How about restarting your network device, and reconnecting to your device?

    Hi WeereXT,

Did the laptop come with Windows 11 Home or Pro preinstalled?

The Enterprise subscription will only upgrade/activate Pro to Enterprise

To use the enterprise subscription features you 1st need an activated Windows 10/11 Pro

    More info here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/deploy-enterprise-licenses?WT.mc_id=WDIT-MVP-5000497

    hope this helps,

MS has stopped servicing my PAID FOR Windows 11 64-bit PRO version in August and substituted the standard version...

This has caused me severe difficulties and raised Trade Practices concerns because I am entitled to this paid version.

    Please fix this issue A.S.A.P.

    Thank you.
