AAD Users for Accounts that Have Pre-Existing Microsoft Accounts

Hello,

I have an interesting problem to share.

The problem I'm hitting is that I want AAD users to have the domain *@sygmaticlanguage.com, but the problem is that the specific usernames I want to use for AAD users already have MS accounts associated with them because they are real emails (gmail). So I would have to do things like "user2@sygmaticlanguage.com" rather than "user@sygmaticlanguage.com" because user@sygmaticlanguage.com already has a Microsoft account, so when the user goes to login to the Azure portal as "user@sygmaticlanguage.com", they are taken to their personal Azure directory rather than the one I'm trying to set up for them.

How do I work around this? I'd really rather not force my users to use two different logins, especially because the "user@sygmaticlanguage.com" is already currently being used to work in Azure DevOps, so it would be a big pain to have separate logins for Azure DevOps and the Azure Portal.

Thank you!

@m-sygmaticlanguage The users who have their personal email address configured with @sygmaticlanguage.com domain, need to add new email alias e.g. user@outlook.com to their accounts and remove the alias with @sygmaticlanguage.com. Use this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=842796 for this purpose.

Note: Once removed, you cannot reuse sygmaticlanguage.com domain in your personal email address. This change is irreversible. However, users should still be able to use their personal Azure account as the new alias would point towards same MSA.
