Bitlocker no recovery key?

Yesterday, after I came home from classes, I turned on my laptop to find a blue “Bitlocker” screen prompting me to enter a recovery key with no way to bypass all of this. After going to the Microsoft website and selecting my device, I’m unable to find any recovery key under the device, and using manage-bde to get the key. There is no key whatsoever that I could find, and I’m unable to reset my computer with or without keeping files, as doing so the computer tells me there was an error in doing so and could not reset. I’m totally lost and don’t know what to do.

    Hello Noodle Cup,

you will need to find your recovery key by following the steps in Finding your BitLocker recovery key in Windows - Microsoft Support.

Please note that if you can't find your BitLocker recovery key, you won't be able to access the encrypted drive or files. In this case, you may need to reinstall the Windows operating system and set up your device again.

    Best regards,

    Lei
