    Hello Wassim SFAR BATI,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

1.Based on the description "a message always appear when a user try to connect after password expiration", did you mean there is no such issue if the user did not change her/his password?

2.What did you mean "try to connect"? logon this machine or sign in the user account on this machine?

3.If the same user logon /sign in another machine, does the issue occurs?

4.If a different user changed her/his password and logon /sign in the same machine, does the issue occurs?

5.Is the machine and user in the domain or in workgroup?

Please try to restart the machine when the issue occurs and check if it helps.

    Hello Wassim SFAR BATI,

    Thank you for reply.

Did you run mstsc command via CMD and then the error message occurs?

Please test as below to narrow down the issue:

I assume you have such devices:

Local device 1, Local device 2
Remote device 1, remote device 2

    Test 1
On local device 1, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in locally successfully.
On local device 2, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in locally successfully.

Test 2 on Local device 1
On local device 1, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in (Remote device 1) remotely successfully.
On local device 1, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in (Remote device 2) remotely successfully.

    Test 3 Local device 2

On local device 2, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in (Remote device 1) remotely successfully.
On local device 2, sign in one user and try to change password and then check if you can sign in (Remote device 2) remotely successfully.

Which of the above will reoccur the problem?

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou

    Hello Daisy Zhou123,

Thank you so much for your answer

1-Just in case the user's password has expired.
2-When the user enters her login details using remote desktop.
    3- N/A
    4- yes
5-All users are local users who connect to the VM windows using RDS (licenses per device).

6- the issue persisted even after restart of machine

    Postscript:

The Windows VM is equipped with sufficient memory, storage, and CPU capacity.
A VM activates the RDS PR device.
All users connect to vm by workgroup his local user credential.,
Our number of users exceeds 30.

    Best Regards,

    Wassim.

Probably the PC or laptop RAM is not enough for the operation.
