VM import boots to blinking cursor only in Windows 11, ok in Windows 10 & Server 2022

Phone system vendor has a prebuilt VM to import into Hyper-V, RedHat OS but not sure of details as it's hidden. I can import it and see a 'press key to get to boot options' but once that's past, it simply shows a blinking cursor. I've tried it on two different Windows 11 (Enterprise and Pro) and same result. Both are running Hyper-V Manager 10.0.22621.4249. I tried importing it on a Windows 10 system running 10.0.19041.1 and it works fine, also in Server 2022 running 10.0.20348.1 no problem.

What can I do to resolve this?

    Hi,

Is this VM generation 1 or 2? If it's a Generation 1 VM, you can recreate it as a Generation 2 VM to see if the issue persists.

If it's already a Generation 2 VM, open Hyper-V VM Settings in Hyper-V Manager, navigate to Security and uncheck "Enable Secure Boot".

Also, check the Event Viewer for any errors related to Hyper-V under Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows.
