I do not want to access internet from the phone to the computer via USB cable. Is there a way I can do this in regedit?

    Hello,

Thank you for your post on the Microsoft Forum.

You can try to achieve this by using Group Policy in Windows, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open the Group Policy Editor: Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and then press Enter.
    2. In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Installation > Device Installation Restrictions.
    3. Block the installation of devices that match any of these device IDs: In the right pane, find and double-click "Prevent the installation of devices that match any of these device IDs", which will open a new window.
    4. Enable the policy and add device IDs: In the new window, select Enabled and click Show next to Enter the device IDs to prevent installation. In the new window, you can add the device ID of the device you want to block. You can find the device ID in Device Manager, for example, USB tethering devices usually have device IDs starting with USB\class_e0.

Hope the above information can help you.

    Sincerely

    Zunhui
