2024-02-05T08:15:09+00:00 Hello Chander Pani,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
This error message usually occurs when the Remote Desktop client is unable to verify the identity of the remote server. This can happen if the server's certificate is invalid or if the client's certificate store does not trust the server's certificate.
To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:
- Check the date and time on both the client and server machines. Make sure they are synchronized and accurate.
- Check the certificate on the server to ensure that it is valid and has not expired. You can do this by opening the Certificates snap-in on the server and checking the certificate's properties.
- Check the certificate store on the client machine to ensure that it trusts the server's certificate. You can do this by opening the Certificates snap-in on the client and checking the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
- If the server's certificate is self-signed, you may need to import it into the client's certificate store manually.
- If none of the above steps work, you can try disabling certificate validation on the client machine. However, this is not recommended as it can leave your system vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks.
I hope the information above is helpful.
