I have been having issues with this adapter for a month now I used to be able to install an older version and boom wifi restored but now nothing works. Commands used to do the trick but now it doesn’t do anything else

I tried to install a realteck driver which seems to have worked bc I do have it in the list but for some reason I can’t find any way to make my computer use this one instead of the old faulty one. Currently using an ASUS laptop and I seem to have noticed that when I finally lange to get wifi enabled again that it doesn’t go out unless I unplug the charger after using the laptop

I just can’t leave it charging forever tho can I ?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

To resolve issues with your Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 adapter, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open "Device Manager", find the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201, right-click and select "Uninstall Device", and check "Remove driver software for this device". Then download and install the Realtek driver.
    2. In Device Manager, enable Realtek adapters and disable Intel adapters.
    3. Make sure your Windows system is up to date.
    4. If you notice that the Wi-Fi won't disconnect until you unplug the charger, there may be an issue with the power management settings:

In Device Manager, right-click on the Intel adapter and select Properties.

Go to the "Power Management" tab and make sure to uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    1. Sometimes, the settings in the BIOS also affect the working of the network adapter:

Restart your computer, go to the BIOS settings (usually press the F2 or Delete key).

Make sure the wireless network adapter is enabled in the BIOS.

    1. In Settings > Network & Internet, find Network Reset.

If the problem persists, it is recommended to contact ASUS or Intel support. Hopefully, these steps will help you solve your problem!

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Regards,

    Jill Zhou
