Networking and OneDrive on Win 11

I am trying to network a Dell desktop all-in-1 (named PC1A) running Win 11 with a Dell Alienware R17 (named PC2) running Win 10. I have networked both computers and shared files and even the C; drive on each. The Dell R17 does see not see PC1A and the PC2 sees the Pc1a but asks for a network credentials.

Additionally, I had OneDrive loaded on PC1A. It filled up to the point that the computer wouldn't let me continue until I cleared up some space. I did that. I also unlinked OneDrive but then the files and apps on my computer were not available. I relinked OneDrive and now there are two icons in the File Explorer Tree. They both report that I have surpassed my limit. There are many icons with little red x's on them. Even though I deleted most of the files in OneDrive-on several occasions-but they keep coming back.

Please help me. I am more frustrated than ever to the point that I'm thinking about going the Apple way.

    Hello

Since this issue may be caused by many reasons, based on the information you provided, I suggest that you refer to the following steps to troubleshoot file sharing.

    1. Turn on network discovery and file and printer sharing, and then turn off password-protected sharing.

Select the Start button, and then select Settings.

In the Find Settings search bar, type "Manage advanced sharing settings", and then select "Manage advanced sharing settings" from the recommended results.

In the Advanced Sharing Settings window that appears, under Private, select "Enable network discovery", and then turn on File and Printer Sharing.

Under All Networks, select "Turn off password-protected sharing".

    1. Enable the sharing service to start automatically. This problem usually occurs when one of the services is not working properly.

Press the Windows logo key + R.

In the Run dialog box, type "services.msc", and then select OK.

Right-click each of the following services, select "Properties", and if the service is not running, select the "Start" menu, and then select "Automatic" next to "Startup type":

    Workstation

    Function Discovery Provider Host

    Function Discovery Resource Publishing

    SSDP Discovery

    UPnP Device Host

If the above method still does not solve the problem, please ask if there are any related errors when mapping shared files, if so, please reply here. This question about Onedrive is beyond the scope of net, it is recommended that you repost a post for this question and select the category of Microsoft 365 and Office/Onedrive.

I hope the above information can help you.

    Best regards

    Zunhui
