Why does reagentc not start? Also, same problem with powerShell.

After entering command to "reagentc /info" my command Prompt window stalls and give no error, not even a blinking cursor. I have run Dism to restore the health of the wim file and I ran Sfc. Both completed successfully and cleaned up problems, Which is odd since my computer is only 2 weeks old and the Server 2022 softer was reinstalled by a Dell Technician last week. I don't know if this is related but Powershell ISE also stalls loading. After, I was not able to get Reagentc to run using the elevated CMD, I was going to try using Powershell. But Powershell stalls with the screen displaying "loading". What's going on?

I need reagentc fix problem with recovery partition size .

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to reagentc not start.

    1. The reagentc manages WinRE, run below command to see if you can enable it: reagentc /disable reagentc /enable

Then run this command to check the status:

    reagentc /info

    1. Additionally, try uninstalling and reinstalling PowerShell ISE via Settings > Apps > Optional features

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly

I did try to run reagentc /disable, it also stalls and gives no response. The only reagentc command that does not stall is reagentc /?. But I did get a response after running "reangentc /disable /logpath c:\temp\reagent.log" as follows:

Try again and waited 10 mins and command finally responded. Apparently, something is slowing down the response to the reagentc command. We can call this issue resolved unless you have any info regarding the slow response.

    Hello,

What is the command result when waited 10 mins and command finally responded? Is there any error message?

    Best regards,
