Hi,

My corporate microsoft account was locked. The 30-minute waiting didn’t work for me also. The problem did not result from repeated incorrect password attempts.

From what I remember, I used a different workstation/pc to log-in and this problem has started ever since. I restarted the pc multiple times also, reset my password but still none of those worked out.

I can only access my account by pulling the LAN cable. But when I plugged-in to connect to the internet, lots of window security pop-ups asking for my user and password.

I tried logging in to the workstation/pc that I used that triggered this problem. It’s still using the old password before I reset my password.

Any fix for this? Badly need help.

    Hi Jan Daniel Melchor,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forum.

Since the issue began when you logged in from different workstations/PCs, it suggests that the problem might be related to your network configuration or account settings rather than being specific to a single device. Additionally, the fact that you're prompted with numerous security pop-ups when connecting to the internet indicates a potential issue with network authentication.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. **Check Network Configuration**: Ensure that your network settings, including IP configuration and DNS settings, are correctly configured on all workstations/PCs you're trying to log in from. Incorrect network settings can sometimes lead to authentication issues.
    2. **Reset Network Configuration**: Try resetting your network settings on the affected workstations/PCs to default values and then reconnect to the network to see if that resolves the issue.
    3. **Check Network Authentication**: Verify that your network is configured to authenticate users correctly. If there are any issues with network authentication, it can lead to login problems and repeated password prompts.
    4. **Check Firewall and Security Settings**: Review the firewall and security settings on your network to ensure that they are not blocking legitimate network traffic or interfering with authentication processes.
    5. **Scan for Malware/Virus**: Perform a thorough scan for malware or viruses on all workstations/PCs to rule out any potential security threats that might be causing the issue.
    6. **Reset Account Settings**: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider resetting your account settings, including password and permissions, to default values and then attempt to log in again.
    7. **Contact IT Support**: If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, consider reaching out to your organization's IT support team for assistance. They may be able to provide further guidance and troubleshoot the issue more effectively.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with logging in from different workstations/PCs and encountering password prompts when connecting to the internet.

    Best regards

    Neuvi Jiang
