How can I fix “Error code:0x204” when I try to connect my Mac to a vm in azure labs using an rdp file?

I recently updated my MacBook Air using OpenCore legacy patcher so that I can be able to download the Windows Remote Desktop app from Apple Store. I have been provisioned a vm from azure labs and I was struggling to access the vm as it won’t connect when I try to open the downloaded RDP file. I have been getting the same error code all the time. “We couldn’t connect to remote Pc. Please make sure is turned on and connected to the network and that remote access is enabled. Error code:0x204” please help!
