Mapped network drives for end-user keeps disconnecting

I am finding myself having to remap network drives for my client each morning. Each time I do so, i always check the box saying "Reconnect at each sign in." But for some reason, it still disconnects. Any reason or true cure for this?

    Hello ,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on your description, here are some possible reasons and solutions:

    1. If the network is unstable, it may cause the mapped drive to be unable to connect at logon. Make sure that the user's computer can connect to the network normally at logon. You can try to manually access the network share after logging on to confirm whether the network is available.
    2. The user may not have sufficient permissions to keep the drive connected, especially when using different credentials. Make sure that the user has sufficient access rights to the network share. You can check the permission settings of the shared folder on the file server.
    3. If the server of the network share uses a dynamic IP address, it may cause connection problems. Consider assigning a static IP address to the server
    4. If the path of the network drive changes (for example, the server name or shared folder name changes), it will cause the drive to be unable to connect.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Regards,

    Jill Zhou
