Offline files only available for 3 of 6 users on PC running Windows 10 Pro

Question

I have a computer running Windows 10 set up with 6 users. Only 3 can make files "Always available offline". While the option exists for the other 3 in the context menu (i.e. by right clicking) the sync never starts. In addition, the 3 user accounts that are able make files "Always available offline" have the Sync Center icon in the notification area of the task bar while the 3 user accounts that cannot do not have the Sync Center in the notification area of the task bar. They can open Sync Center by going to the control panel but can still not make any files "Alway available offline". As an additional note, the client side cache (CSC) folder has been moved from the default to another location. Sync continues to perform as it should for the 3 users that can access the Sync Center from the task bar.

The account may not have enough permissions for offline files. You need to ensure that your account has permission to access the peer server's folder (at least readable). So, for this problem, you can try the following methods:

1. You can first use the most basic SMB to access the network path corresponding to the offline folder, and make sure that the credentials you use can be read.
2. If you find that your account does not have access rights, please add access rights.
3. After confirming that you have permission, go to the offline folder synchronization center to manually synchronize once.

Zunhui, thanks for your reply. The permissions for the users that can make files available offline and those that can't are exactly the same. They are both members of the user group "Users"
