    Hi,

As all drivers located in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository. It is a trusted location of inbox and third-party driver packages. This means that before a driver can be installed it must first be injected into the driver store, this process is called staging.

Try to download your driver into that driver store, and check the issue again.

Here is another measure to inject driver into an offline system image file with DISM command line, try to check if it works for you.

Add and Remove Drivers to an offline Windows Image

    Bests,

Sounds like you'll be clean installing the operating system. If the disk controller driver is not recognized during install you download from the manufacturer and present it here.

    Hi,

What hardware do you want to replace?

If you want to change mainly hardware, I would recommend to reinstall system in case of system corruption or hardware compatibility issue occur.

I would recommend to use Windows Server Backup Feature to backup your data, application and server state and so on, then recovery them once you build your device with new hardware.

By the way, some hardware changes such as motherboard will lost activation, please make sure you could find product key if you are using OEM license or retailed.

    Bests,
