- Ensure that the virtual machine has sufficient memory and CPU allocated. Sometimes insufficient resources can cause the VM to hang during the startup process.
- Try reconnecting to the VM session using Hyper-V Manager. Right-click on the VM and select "Connect". This might refresh the display and bring up the login screen.
- Try starting the VM in Safe Mode. This can help determine if the issue is related to software or drivers loaded during a normal startup. To do this, access the VM's settings and configure it to boot into Safe Mode.
- Sometimes the virtual display adapter might be causing issues. Try removing it and re-adding it via the VM settings.
