Windows update led to no internet

I recently installed a Windows update, and the aftermath of said update was my wifi going down, well kind of? I'm connected to internet but my device refuses to allow me to search anything on my browsers (any of them) I have no VPN on or anything just can't connect to anything using Wi-Fi, discord updates fail, ect, as well as not being able to further update windows due to it stalling on 0 percent, I haven't really updated my computer in a bit but am on windows 11, I have no access to anything wifi related, I flushed the whatever it's called (DNS I think?) using Ipconfig and restarted the modem, nothing worked, every other device in my house works fine. I recently learned that I was not supposed to install the most recent update according to some article that seemed really clickbaity and I cant verify the legitimatecy of.

What can I realistically do, I can't go to the Internet at all on that device no websites load, I can't do anything using Wi-Fi or Internet on it, I don't have any viruses I can guarantee that as I haven't even downloaded a file in over a week and a half, I can't use anything involving a USB for example force installing something that way, what am I supposed to do?

I'm on an Asus laptop, although I'm not sure how relevant the model is

    Hello,

I suggest you try the following method to reset the network to see if it can solve the problem:

    1. Press Win + R to open the Run window, enter regedit and click OK to open the registry, and locate it at the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Connections.

    1. Then delete the "Connections" item and restart the computer.

Note If you modify the registry incorrectly, you can cause serious problems. Therefore, follow these steps carefully. For additional protection, back up the registry before you modify it. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, see How to back up and restore the registry in Windows.

    1. Open cmd as an administrator and run the following command.

    netsh winsock reset

    Best Regards

    Zunhui
