How do I make a shortcut on the desktop for all users that log into a particular workstation? Windows 11 Pro. I would like the users who log into this laptop only to see a shortcut for an application that is only installed on this device. This laptop is part of an Active Directory Domain.

    Hello Brian Skuzinski1,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

1.You can create an OU and put these domain users into this OU。
2.Create one GPO and link this GPO to the OU above.
3.Edit this GPO. You can follow the detailed description for setting this GPO setting.

Create Desktop Shortcut using Group Policy (GPO) (prajwaldesai.com)

4.Sign out and sign in the users in OU above to make the GPO setting refresh, or you can run gpupdate /force on the machine when user in the OU above signed in this specific workstation.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
